BPMN Workflows
The BPMN Workflows module allows configuration of workflows for document processing in accordance with BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation). Administrators can define the workflow sequence for individual document types.
Key functionalities:
- Creating and editing workflows: Workflows are created using a graphical BPMN editor.
In the Settings tab, set the following parameters:
- Enabled: determines whether the workflow is active/inactive for use
- Name: the name of the workflow. Organizations: this setting applies to a multi-organization environment. In this field, select the organizations for which the workflow will be used.
- Document type: determines which module the workflow will be used for
- Description: additional description of the workflow.
If the workflow has not yet been used, it can be deleted using the Delete button. Using the Copy button, you can create a copy of an existing workflow.
The Diagram tab contains the definition of the BPMN workflow. To build the process, standard BPMN elements are used:
- Start Event
- Tasks (User Task, Service Task)
- Gateway (Exclusive Gateway)
- End Event
Each task can be assigned a task name, a user or group task, and any conditions, and can be linked to metadata.
Note: Workflow settings and changes affect the operation of the system. We recommend testing all changes in a test environment first and checking their impact on operation. Using the module requires knowledge of BPMN notation and advanced knowledge of system configuration.
